Exports Department

Netco Trading Plc has expanded this department to serve as the core of its commercial operations. The department is responsible for market research, supply and procurement, certification, handling consignments, shipping and other activities pertaining to the export sector.

Currently Netco Trading Plc is engaged in the export of agricultural produce; namely, sesame seed and oilseeds.

Ethiopia is among the world’s Top 5 sesame seed producers and exporters. In fact, 60% of the global sesame seed supply is found in Myanmar, India, China, Ethiopia and Nigeria.

We offer primarily high quality ‘Whitish Humera’, a superior type of sesame which is actually used as a reference of grading on the international market. This variety fulfills the four requirements of good quality: Color, Taste, Purity and Dryness. ‘Whitish Humera’ has a pleasant aroma, sweetness and a high oil content which has been well appreciated by our clients in countries as far apart as Egypt and Taiwan.

In addition to ‘Whitish Humera’, Netco Trading Plc also offers the ‘Wellega’ variety which also enjoys wide spread demand and classifies as yet another superior sesame seed from Ethiopia.

Netco Trading Plc also exports or is in the process of doing so; linseed, Niger seed and other oilseeds.

In the near future, we are looking to supply the world market with Ethiopia’s renowned herbs, spices and other high value agricultural produce.
